Yorkshire Coast Coach Tour Itinerary – 5 Days / 4 Nights DBB

 

Day 1: Arrival in Scarborough

• Depart on a comfortable coach journey towards the Yorkshire Coast.

• Arrive in Scarborough, check into your hotel for a 4-night stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

• Evening at leisure to explore the seafront or relax in the hotel.

 

Day 2: Whitby, North Yorkshire Coast & Goathland, the North York Moors

• Excursion to Goathland, famously known as a filming location for Heartbeat.

• Travel through the stunning North York Moors National Park.

• Enjoy a scenic drive to Whitby.

• Visit the historic harbour, Whitby Abbey, and take time to stroll through the quaint cobbled streets.

• Return to Scarborough via picturesque coastal route.

 

Day 3: Historic York

• Full-day visit to the medieval city of York.

• Explore York Minster, The Shambles, and the city walls.

• Enjoy free time for shopping and sightseeing.

 

DAY 4: Day at Leisure or Optional Excursion

With plenty to see and do there is something for everyone; Visit Scarborough Castle or Peaseholme park, with its Japanese gardens and boating lake, take a ride on the North Bay railway or on one of the many local boats, from which you can enjoy panoramic views of the resort. Just a short drive away you will find the historic and vibrant Roman city of York, the whaling port of Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors railway.  The hotel has a large modern restaurant with views over the resort, an entertainment room, with dance floor where you will find entertainment on most evenings, a quiet reading lounge and a lift that serves all floors.
