Shanklin is beautifully situated on the cliffs bordering the South East coast of the Isle of Wight and is sheltered to the west by high-lying downs. The town is split with the old village lying on the cliff top and the new village nestled close to the sea. The two are connected by a cliff lift.

 

Carisbrooke Castle

Newport is the county town of the Isle of Wight, with a rich history, architecture and culture. Explore its attractions, events, places to eat and drink, and accommodation options in this vibrant town.

 

Ryde is the largest town on the Isle of Wight, with a rich history, a lively seafront and a variety of attractions. Whether you want to enjoy the sandy beaches, the shopping centres, the cultural events or the nearby countryside, Ryde has something for everyone.
