The Maritim Hotel Königswinter is beautifully situated between the Rhine River

and the Siebengebirge hills, making it the perfect destination for any type of trip.

Koenigswinter, picturesquely situated on the right bank of the Rhine, borders Bonn

with the tranquil district of Bad Godesberg. The location of the hotel could hardly

be better, as numerous sights are in the immediate vicinity.

 

Ehrenbreitstein Fortress - The second largest fortress in Europe

Standing 118 meters above the Rhine, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress probably o�ers the

most fantastic view of Koblenz and the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers.

Ehrenbreitstein, the second largest preserved fortress in Europe, was built in its

current form between 1817 and 1828, However, its origins date back to the year

1000. Today, Ehrenbreitstein is the only surviving Prussian fortress from the 19th

century, the largest historical fortress in Europe after Gibraltar and part of the

UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Its location and facilities, easy

accessibility via cable car, and the spectacular view, which can be enjoyed from

the wooden viewing platform Rhine-Moselle View, for example, make

Ehrenbreitstein Fortress one of the most popular excursion destinations in

Rhineland-Palatinate.

 

The Koblenz Cable Car

Float 800 meters over the Rhine to the fortress plateau. The breathtaking cable car

ride across the Rhine up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress should not be missed on any

visit to Koblenz.

Imhoof Schokoladenmuseum - Chocolate Museum

Starting at a large cocoa tree model, through the 10-meter high tropical house, you

follow the path of the cocoa from the harvest to the major stock exchanges of

world trade and transport to the chocolate factory.

 

We provide insights: at the Chocolate Museum, you embark on a journey through

the 5,000-year cultural history of chocolate. On over 4,000 m², you will find the

most comprehensive presentation of the history and present of cocoa and

chocolate in the world.

logical: Cologne is world-famous for its beer – Kölsch. But anyone who truly wants
