In Southport, you’re never stuck for things to do. If you need a budget-friendly free day out we’ve got plenty of parks and gardens, great places to walk or take a cycle ride on one of our cycle routes, and of course several stunning beaches. Southport is a great place to spend your afternoon.

Southport's Victoria Park is a great place to take a picnic and is host to some great events throughout the year. Or try our beautiful Botanic Gardens, or King's Gardens, where a sunny afternoon feels like a summer holiday.

For fun family days out, your kids will love Southport Pleasureland, or spend the day at Southport Marine Lake where they can speed along on a motor boat, or enjoy a slower pace on one of the Swan Pedalos.

Blackpool Zoo

Whether big, small, fierce, friendly, cute, or just plain adorable, animals never cease to fascinate us at Blackpool Zoo. We can learn so much from them, but it’s such a lot of fun that we don’t even realise we’re learning.

Blackpool Zoo has a diverse range of species, having over 1000 animals in our care including Asian elephants, gorillas, orangutans, lions, tigers, penguins, giraffes and sea lions to name a few.
